Parabola by the rectangle method (more divisions)

Construct a parabolic arc opening upward, using the rectangle (offset) method with 6 equal divisions on each side. Enclose it in a rectangle 12 squares wide and 36 squares tall: the vertex sits at the middle of the bottom edge, and the curve rises to the two top corners. Place the vertex in the lower part of the sheet, leaving room on both sides and above for the arms to rise. Draw your rays, division marks and any other scaffolding with the Construction line type — the marker ignores construction lines and grades the curve as straight segments joining each located point to the next, not a hand-smoothed sweep.

What you are given

Each square is one unit. Draw these first, then construct from them.

The method

Worked example: the rectangle method (n = 3). It illustrates the method only, not this exercise's answer.
